Lazada Philippines: Measuring Reliability the Best Way I Know How

Reliability cannot be easily measured because for one thing, there are different factors that affect reliability that are completely dependent on the subject matter. For online shopping, the basics are not the only necessary factors that need to be assessed to determine a website’s security level. With so many types of security companies ensuring customers of full-time protection, it has become ideal for big time e-commerce websites to look for ways to be identified under being trustworthy.

Lazada Philippines was evaluated by the Payment Card Industry Date Security Standard (PCI DSS) last July 11, 2013. It took the Self Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) and PCI DSS Security Scan, which would help determine the level of security being given to the customers in terms of keeping personal information especially financial accounts intact and within the restriction of the company. Lazada was approved and now has a seal of approval from the prominent company. Normally, websites that allow credit card payments are the ones pressured to have its security system assessed.

Companies go through massive lengths to prove its commitment to serve in accordance with the law. Because online stores have so little opportunity to convince potential customers of quality service, seals like PCI DSS’ make it easier for first timers to decide. An online store’s compliance with certain security websites project better performance and impact. Neglecting to go through certain assessment tests make some websites all the more untrustworthy.

As a frequent blogger, I spend a lot of my idle times checking out online stores. It does not only give me a chance to discover more ideas but it also provides me information outside my area of expertise. And throughout the two years I have been writing, I have seen a big difference between a website that has been certified to be safe from a website just trying to get by. I have nothing against Facebook pages that sell but there’s always that huge sigh of relief whenever a website I order from has been certified to be free from any leaks.

Like I said in the beginning, there are many ways to identify a company as reliable. But these ways and factors go hand in hand. If you only consider sales as the determining factor, you might just miss the other aspects of what make online sites stand out. Pricing should also be reasonable because no matter how ‘safe’ the website claims itself to be, it won’t matter if the customers won’t even consider staying on the page due to poor pricing. By poor pricing, I mean items priced to much than what it’s really worth.

Lazada resells products from many manufacturing companies. And to gain revenue, it must have something up its sleeve without pricing items too high. Also, services in terms of deliveries and returns must also be considered reliable to come up with an overall impressive rating. When you add all these factors together, you get an unstoppable e-commerce site ready for any battle that might come its way.
