Don’t
go looking far when searching for the next best way to get your hands on your
must-haves or favorites. Thanks to the advancement in technology, we have in
our presence tools in improving our daily duties. Whether you’re using your
iPhone, Samsung, Tablet or PC, you are capable of going online and buying what
you need anywhere you want. Shoppers before were so accustomed to having to go
to a mall to finish certain checklists needed to be done in a day. But because
so much in technology has progressed, we can now pretty much do anything with
our gadgets.
Online
shopping has become a sensation because of its accessibility. Children ages 10
and below all have colored phones while teenagers in my generation were already
well off with a pager that you can’t even use to make a reply. Gaining access
to the internet hence making shopping online possible isn’t a form of leisure
anymore that are limited to accommodating only the wealthy families. Because of
this, online shopping has become a practical form of shopping giving more
windows of opportunities to potential business ventures.
E-commerce
in the Philippines gained over 8 billion pesos last year in profit. Now,
considering how everyone stresses so much on the declining economy, it’s ironic
how more people are choosing to buy online which generally sounds like
something well off people would do. But that’s just it. Shopping online doesn’t
equate to expensive things anymore. On the contrary, it equates to just the
opposite.
Lazada
Philippines is an online venture Rocket Internet opened up early last year.
Rocket Internet is a worldwide company based in Berlin known for establishing
online ventures in five different continents. And each venture became bigger
than the previous one. One of the factors about Lazada that made it the hit it
is today is its exceptional number of discounted items available on a daily
basis. The discounts sometimes even go as high as 90%. It has happened and I
doubt that it will never be done again.
Over
the years, more improvements and changes have been made on online sites. It’s
nothing like before. Because before, online shopping websites were synonymous
to scams or to websites that simply cannot be trusted. Today, online sites find
ways to prove its worth to its potential clients and customers by allowing
itself to be assessed by legitimate governing bodies. Lazada was tested by the
PCI DSS that specialized in testing the security and safety of the financial
accounts of customers in websites that accommodate credit payments. This was
something that a lot of websites lacked before. But because of these one out of
a hundred changes that were made, more online users became more inclined with
the idea of purchasing items online instead of going to malls.
Online
shopping websites can no longer be belittled because of the success rate it has
had in the past years. And I doubt anyone would be willing to pass out a chance
to get so many good deals online just because of their refusal to give
e-commerce a chance to work for them.
