Lazada Philippines
isn’t capable of ripping people off. Its pride and reputation just won’t allow
it. After winning over so many Pinoy hearts, the last thing it would want is to
break its winning streak of 100% success rate in customer satisfaction.
Regardless of this being a personal opinion, I am very complacent. Lazada is
currently the top ranked online shopping website in the Philippines. Awards and
public recognition doesn’t lie. First of all, Golden Globe Annual Awards named
it the Best Online Shopping Website for 2013. Second, it gained outstanding
number of mentions on Facebook during its first year anniversary month making
it the most talked about consumer brand on the popular social network Rocket
Internet, the second largest and most popular online venture building company
spearheaded Lazada Philippines. Rocket Internet is also the brain behind Zalora
Philippines and Price Panda. Lazada in our country has counterparts in four
other countries in Southeast Asia namely Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and
Thailand. (Source: lazada.com.ph

Experts have dubbed it the ‘Amazon
clone’ for Asia and quite frankly, it’s a perfect match. Its greatest thing in
common is the number of available items online. Although Amazon clearly has
more in products, Lazada’s competitive nature has made it the only if not one
of the most number of items sold in one online shopping website. Its services
and methods are user-friendly and very beneficial to all types of aspiring
customers. A simple subscription to the online shopping site’s daily newsletter
automatically entitles the subscriber to a P200 worth voucher that can be used
anytime. A minimum purchase of P1,000 rewards a customer a delivery with no
charge. A single receipt transaction as low as P3,000 makes a customer eligible
for an installment based payment for up to 24 months or 2 years whether a
newsletter subscriber or not! The good deals don’t stop there. Because Lazada
insists on providing the best quality of customer service possible, they have
provided an extremely versatile return policy. The return policy allows
customers to return for a refund or exchange the item of their liking within 14
days. Customers can do so under certain valid reasons and conditions. But don’t
think it’s not as lenient as its other services. In line with its company’s
goal of maintaining its 100% success rate, customers can use change of heart as
a ground for return or exchange. The only requirement for such returns to be
approved is to have the item preserve its brand new condition.
This award-winning e-commerce
website has received multiple investments from international companies
including J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Holtzbrink Ventures, Kinnevik, Summit
Partners, Tengelmann and Verlinvest. Rocket Internet has certainly successfully
made another e-commerce site worth bragging about adding up to its already
impressive resume or list of online ventures. Its success in the Philippines
wasn’t expected. But the way it worked its way to every Filipino’s heart astounds
me. It doesn’t get any better and I doubt any other online site can outweigh it
soon.
