Lazada: How End of the Month Sales Change my Life Each Time

While everyone is so caught up with the Napoles Pork Barrel Scandal, I’m out looking for a gift for my boyfriend. It’s the end of the month sale again in Lazada and if you thought the SM sales were jaw dropping, you obviously have never experienced a sale by Lazada Philippines. For their end of the month sale for August, they’re throwing in products marked down for as high as 80%. Sony Xperia phones mostly are at 20% off and above. It was a very sweet deal on my part because I’ve been looking for a new phone to get my boyfriend since he lost his Samsung at our last trip in Bohol. If I’m not mistaken, all the watches that are up for sale are 50% off and above. Now tell me, have you ever heard of such a scandalous sale? Where literally most of the good products are priced down so low that you can buy tons of items and still be in a budget? A Moschino watch I liked prior to the sale is 70% off. From roughly P14,000 to just a little over P4,000! Incredible offer and it’s definitely not just me exaggerating! It’s straight from facts. There’s even a Buzz Lightyear surgery doll I’m thinking of buying because it’s down to just P500 now. I’m still choosing between a wireless wifi router and a Sony Xperia mobile phone.

For more details on what other items are on sale, you can check out their website and go to the Month End Sale section where you can easily browse all the items available. Items from categories like Cameras, Home Appliances, Watches, Sports & Travel, Fashion & Accessories and many more all have big surprises in store for you. So as much as I really want to get involved the most talked about issue in the Philippines, I just can’t help but get involved in the biggest sale of the year yet. Also, there’s really nothing much I can do now that Napoles has surrendered. I mean, I am not a woman of means. The most I can do is take part in the strikes but my day job just won’t allow it.

Today, I have had tremendous amounts of accomplishments in the area of errand shopping or personal purchases. Online stores have greatly improved my ability to finish items in my checklist that I would not be able to tick off if it weren’t for the benefits and convenience these online shops bring. I would be devastated to hear if my favorite online stores pull the plug on their services. Not only do I have a more difficult way of buying my essentials but I will also have less access to sales and discounts as big as the one Lazada holds. Today, I go online not only to receive emails but to also search for other options to maximize my free time everyday. Under the circumstances that my work load prohibits me to purchase items I am in dire need of, I can always turn to online shopping as my solution.

Lazada: Filipinos’ lack of adventurism causes minimal progress

We can only gain so much from our respective priorities and hobbies. But the things we tend to overlook are surprisingly what can serve better purposes. These said things offer solutions we never thought would be answerable by the simplest things. But that’s the beauty of innovation and progress. There’s always something better to look forward to.

From my point of view, the naked eye ironically refuses to see what is presented to us. The way we deal with measuring depth in life is looking beyond the obvious making us pretty much oblivious to reality. Take the act of online shopping for instance. Some see it as a mere form of owning things easy. But it is far more beneficial than what people generally think. For one thing, it saves a lot of time and effort on the part of the Filipinos that do not have a few hours to spare for making quick and essential errands. Now normally you would only focus on the idea of accomplishing an errand and not see the true beauty behind the evolution of online shopping.

Lazada offers a wide array of products and despite how efficient the selections are, Filipinos still forget to acknowledge how effective it can be. People turn to Lazada for those quick errands and disregard the convenience it can provide. Its reliability sometimes gets even questioned as if its services are not supported by legal and legitimate governing bodies that can attest to how safe and secure its financial performances are. Do you even know that it was ranked as the top contender for the BEST online shopping site for 2013? Actually, scratch that. It wasn’t just a contender. It ruled supreme above all other websites but of course, no online shopping enthusiast would go out of their way to research on the very thing that is helping to stabilize their sanity (shopping). The amount of advantages Filipinos gain from a single online store is incomparable. It outnumbers benefits of other methods that have been long overused by Filipinos because of their lack of adventure to try something outside their comfort zone.

As much as I would like to commend Filipinos for looking back on tradition and strongly holding on to their values, I see this as one of the very reasons the progress here in the Philippines is lacking in drive. How does one expect to excel immensely when he or she does not try something beyond what is expected and/or safe? Ideally, Filipinos wait for what is ‘meant’ to come because of fate. You know how the saying goes, right? If it’s meant to be, it will happen? But what if it doesn’t? Will you just allow yourself to be misled by outrageous presumptions and allow yourself to be beaten by your very own refusal of good change?

Unless something drastic takes place, Filipinos will stay as vulnerable as they are now. Just imagine how westernized we still are even after years of being out of America’s sovereignty. Despite the many influences that have come and go in the Philippines, Filipinos still choose to stick to what is familiar which to an extent a bad thing becomes. And it will forever affect why progress in the Philippines remains unresolved up to this very day.

Using your Hours Online to your Advantage

I like going online not because I can’t help but read about the latest gossip or because I have to desperately update my Facebook status. I go online because I see the beauty of what I do which happens to be shopping online among everything else. Let me persuade you into thinking the same.

When we go online, we burn time and effort. We think that surfing the internet kills the chance of being able to accomplish something productive. But it doesn’t have to be that way. After all, everyone is given a choice and it just so happens, that you my friend, chose to go to the wrong direction.

I wake up in the morning and always get offended that the rest of the world is out to earn money to get through the following month. I, on the other hand, a mother of three, am required to stay at home and make sure that my children are safe. Don’t get me wrong. I love looking after my children but as a human being in the age range expected to make use of her time effectively, I cannot help but feel a hint of emptiness. And because of my desperation to hear about what is happening out there, I go online. But only because my children hog every television there is at home and as a mother, I give them the freedom to do so. After years of indulging in useless online activities, I then experienced an epiphany while scurrying through various online sites. It was then that I discovered e-commerce.

It all started when I was in desperate need of shopping for my sister in Zambales. She was going to celebrate her 40th birthday around the time my eldest daughter was going to graduate from grade school. I have never missed my sister’s birthday because as young as 7 years old, we lost our mom to cancer. Since then, she acted as my ‘mom’ and we were inseparable since. To make up for my absence, I wanted to get her something given the short notice. I went online and looked for the perfect grill set she could use for Hawaiian inspired barbeque party. I saw one at Lazada Philippines and I guess luck was on my favor because they delivered nationwide. Since the grill I bought was over a thousand pesos, the delivery was free. Since then, I have made use of my online free time as a way to do something more personal besides the usual online messaging that required so little effort on my part. It was also more practical to buy online because most of the things I buy for my family are charged to my husband’s account who works overseas. The perks of online shopping have rekindled a lot of fading relationships for me. Now, I go online to look for ways to reach out to my loved ones living far from me. It’s a gesture not everyone is familiar with since most of the time, we go online for self-fulfillment forgetting that we can still make a difference in the most unexpected ways.

Lazada redefines online shopping in the Philippines

Want some way to spy on your annoying brother and finally get back at him? Or maybe catch your boyfriend on the act? Thanks to technology, making these things happen has become more attainable. If you thought getting your hands on a spy gadget would have to cost you thousands, think again. I recently saw Lazada featuring a bunch of products perfect for that childhood detective dreams. A spy pen camera with high definition resolution is sold for only P800. A cap with a built-in camera is sold for only a little over P2000. But these things just don’t come in handy for proving speculations true. These things are also very handy recording tools for important meetings without the excess baggage.

I always like websites that are underrated but have so much to offer under their sleeves. Lazada at first glance looks like your typical online shop and maybe it is. But it definitely has more edge that most already established online sites. For one thing, the number of items they sell are over 20, 000 covering diverse nature of products from baby toys to music and gadgets. But it excels mostly on how user-friendly it is. Manipulating the website can be mastered by even a four year old just trying out for the first time. The specifics of the item being searched for can be typed in the sear bar with use of keywords such as the brand, color and nature of product. Remember when we had to personally click on every single album there is in Multiply just to see if any of the items being sold resemble what we have in mind? Well those days are finally over because a website such prestige as Lazada has made Filinos top of its priority.

Lazada has branches in other parts of Southeast Asia including Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. As part of the Rocket Internet line up of online shopping websites, it is understandable how it has become such a huge venue for many online shoppers. Since its launch last February, online shopping in the Philippines has been then redefined as a formal source of income. For many years, Flipinos took this industry for granted thinking that it would never grow to what is has become today. But now Filipinos actually look for sites to buy from because it has become a known fact that most good deals can be found online. A myth before that has been proven true over and over again.

Filipinos no longer have to drive to the nearest mall to grab a couple of essentials because even beauty products have become available online. Talk about living in the comforts of your home. Now you can literally get everything you need with just your phone in hand. Whether you’re hungry or just looking for the next best thing to splurge on, online sites have made it possible and affordable enough for you to choose it over shopping which has been for a long time known as traditional.

Lazada stays service-oriented and gains more loyalists

A good way to identify authentic and service-oriented online sites is to start with the basics. Proper product pricing and service orientation makes it easier for first time online users to set apart the sites worth checking from those that would just be a waste of time. The present recipient of the Best Online Shopping Mall award for year 2013 from the Golden Globe Annual Awards, Lazada is undoubtedly one of the most sought out online shops today. Under the supervision of Rocket Internet’s elite, Lazada has transformed itself from what was once a merely overlooked online stopover into one of the most in demand e-commerce sites in a year or maybe even less.

Good online sites don’t come easy. Because there are so many people today who easily gain access to buying their own domain, some online enthusiasts take part in the e-commerce market but forget how important their role in the said online agent is. Lazada, however, seeks refuge by empowering its already loyal customers in hope of receiving more attention from other potential online users.

Lazada stresses on how important it is for them to provide utmost care and high-end customer service. This is to continue their groundbreaking record of 100% rate of satisfied customers. As a result, more and more features are added into the site. More brands are turning to the aforementioned online site for nationwide exposure. There are now twice more discounts exclusively available to them making them top of the go-to sites of many online bargain hunters.
Lazada’s values do not sway away from what is perceived as traditional by many. In fact, they try to incorporate methods that are observed in actual personal selling to their site. One area they focus on greatly is the modes of payments they have to offer. Cash on delivery is the closest form of method they have to purchases normally made over the counter. For one thing, no initial payments or down payments are required. The exchange of compensation occurs at the same time during the time of delivery. Cash on delivery or COD has become a fan favorite because of its practicality. It requires less information from the buyer therefore making the transaction feel a lot safer and secure than other methods. Banco De Oro has also made an exclusive offer to all Lazada fans giving them an opportunity to pay in monthly installments for up to 2 years depending on their choice. A minimum amount of P3,000 must simply be observed to be to avail of such payment method.

As far as customer convenience goes, Lazada definitely tops the list because of their wide range of featured services. Under the circumstances that an order does not fit the description provided prior or a certain gut feeling tells you it’s a bad purchase, the said online shopping website allows returns in exchange of refunds and replacements. This is a feature that is sadly frowned upon by many online establishments. While other websites pull out any sense of responsibility to its customers after exchange of compensation takes place, Lazada owns up to it. That’s one clear way of identifying which sites are worth coming back to.
